Letter to Congregation 05-05-2020
May 5, 2020
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
After now being stuck at home for as long as many of you have, I presume you are ready to get out for a day of celebration. Well…” This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it!” (Psalm 118:24 ESV) This is truly a day to rejoice. I am excited to say that we will again be having a drive-in Sunday worship service this Sunday at 10 am. As a mother I can’t think of a better place to spend Mother’s Day than to be near (even if still keeping the safe distance) to my church family where many people become our spiritual parents and grandparents alike. So, as the psalmist says let us rejoice and be glad in this day!
As I mentioned last time, the session and I are working on a plan on to safely hold worship services when the ways become clear. For this week we invite you to come to the parking lot, tune your radio to the selected station and enjoy seeing each other even if you are a cars length away. For those of you who missed it on Easter all you need to do is drive to the church on Sunday morning and park where you are guided to do so then tune your radios into the radio station provided in the bulletin which will be distributed that morning. The service will continue to be live streamed for those who want to remain at home. For those who are live streaming, watching recordings or joining us via zoom audio it will be done in the same format as week’s past. See the information provided below.
Click on the link below near the time the service begins at 10:00am to watch the live stream https://www.facebook.com/espresbyterian/
YouTube recording can be found at https://www.espresbyterian.com/worship/ or https://www.youtube.com/user/ESPresbyterian
Additionally, bulletins and an online hymnal have been put on the website and can be found at https://www.espresbyterian.com/worship/sunday-bulletin/
To listen to the service via telephone call 929-436-2866 and when prompted enter the meeting ID 815-8681-1223#. Keep in mind this is not a local number.
I look forward to seeing you and celebrating together. This is truly the day that the Lord has made, and I rejoice in it!
In His Peace,
Pastor Nicki
