Letter to Congregation 12-30-2020
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
It is hard to believe that this insane year is almost behind us. It’s also hard to believe that I began writing these pastor letters in March and have written over 40 of them. As we have done, and as I mentioned in an earlier pastor letter, there are new things that began because of this challenging year with the pandemic. Rest assured I will continue these weekly letters until we are on the other side of this and perhaps even beyond. Reflecting on this, and other aspects of 2020, reminds me how grateful I am to serve such a supportive and loving congregation. I am certain this is one thing that won’t change int 2021. Loving not only each other, but sharing that love with those around us and beyond, is what we do well. Instead of making a resolution this year to do something new, let’s make a resolution together to continue being this way and living into our mission and vision, even if it looks different.
To begin the new year off strongly, and continue with loving each other, we will remain doing hybrid worship services. We can continue loving each other by wearing masks, keeping our distance, worshiping remotely if possible and comfortable, so that others who can’t do so, can attend in person, by being flexible and understanding of the capacity limits in the sanctuary, by being willing to be in overflow areas if needed. I hope you will join us in worship and begin our new year off well by loving each other and sharing that love with all people we encounter.
In Christ Peace,
Pastor Nicki
